Research Directions

1、Development of Key Technologies for Emerging Contaminant Exposure and Health Risk Assessment: Conducting health risk assessment studies on population exposure to new chemical hazards such as bisphenol analogues and rare earth elements in school-age children, plateau residents, and other populations; developing toxicokinetic models; and investigating human health effects

2、Optimization and Improvement of Dietary Nutrition and Health for Plateau Populations: Focusing on dietary nutrition and health issues among populations in typical agricultural, pastoral, forest, and urban community areas on the plateau; researching key technologies for monitoring and assessing dietary nutrition and health among plateau residents; studying demonstration applications for improving and optimizing dietary nutrition and health among plateau residents; and researching key technologies and applications for intelligent health protection systems for workers in cold, high-altitude, and special environments

Achievements and Awards

1、Constructed physiological toxicological metabolic pathway maps and PBTK models for 10 food contaminants, including bisphenol A, phthalates, and decabromodiphenyl ether, elucidating the mechanisms linking external dietary exposure to internal biological exposure. The research results of the PBTK models possess independent intellectual property rights and have reached a level comparable to international peers. Among them, the research results of the PBTK model for decabromodiphenyl ether were cited by the SCIENTIFIC OPINION authoritatively published by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).

2、Established the "Tibet Resident Dietary Nutrition and Health Cohort," covering key populations such as women and children, primary and secondary school students, older adults, and workers, and including multidimensional data such as demographics, lifestyle, residents' dietary consumption, micronutrient intake, and physical and nutritional status.

3、published 80+ research articles and holds 3 invention patents.

4、Advised graduate students who received honors including 1 Fudan University Outstanding Student, 2 Fudan University Outstanding Graduates, and 1 Shanghai Outstanding Graduate Student. Also advised 1 Tibetan undergraduate student and 2 Tibetan graduate students.

5、Recipient of the 2023 and 2024 Outstanding Worker Award of Tibet University, the 2023 Outstanding Employee Award of the School of Public Health, Fudan University, and the Medal of the 23rd Batch of the Central Organization Department and Communist Youth League Central Committee Doctoral Service Team to Tibet.
